Fall in Boone

Boone is one of the most beautiful places on earth in the fall season! This predominant outdoor community loves to engage in all things fall when the season hits in the High Country. As the leaves on the trees change, the community is flooded with visitors to see the highly anticipated peak week! You know it is fall when the Local Lion starts to roll out their pumpkin donut flavor and when people wait in long coffee lines for pumpkin spiced lattes.

Aside from the awesome food, the Boone community’s outdoor options are endless. Moses Cone and Howard’s Knob are my top two favorite spots to view during sunset as the weather gets colder. In addition, Tweetsie Railroad decorates the whole campus for the Halloween bash. The Ghost Train also begins in the beginning of October and seems to be a favorite attraction for Boone and Blowing Rock residents. The Mountaineer Mystery Tour is another common hit among the students at Appalachian State. This is a tour around the Boone community that explores the paranormal spirits and strange happenings of Boone. The tour contains a storyteller who guides a one-hour journey through the dark streets, back alleys and graveyards in the area.

Boone Boo is another event the Boone community puts on. This event is hosted on the lawn of Jones House on King St. This event contains dragons, bunnies, ghosts, pumpkins and pirates! Every Halloween, the Town of Boone hosts this family event for all ages. The season sparks numerous activities for people of all ages. I would encourage you to research and see what events intrigue you the most this autumn.
