Inclement Weather Schedule

If Orientation has to be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather, a notice will be posted on the Appalachian home page, www.orientation.appstate.edu and www.parents.appstate.edu.  You can also call the snow line at 828-262-SNOW (7669).   

Orientation will ONLY be rescheduled or delayed in the event of a serious storm! 

On-campus housing - not guaranteed

If you're interested in the possibility of living on campus, we encourage you to apply, but unfortunately, Appalachian is unable to guarantee on-campus housing for transfer students. To improve your chances of getting on-campus housing, respond quickly to your admission offer and submit the non-refundable advance payment right away.

Off-campus Living

Appalachian provides resources and assistance for those living off campus. Visit the Off Campus web site for information about where to live, safety and security, community events, and help finding a roommate.
