Non-degree Seeking Applicants
For Non-degree Seeking, Visiting, and Teacher Certification Applicants
This classification may be used only by individuals who do not plan to receive degrees at Appalachian. The course work cannot be used as a basis for admission to either undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
Non-degree applications are accepted on a space available basis. Applicants who are not accepted as degree-seeking freshmen, transfer,or graduate students are not eligible for non-degree status.
Non-degree students may take a maximum of 18 hours each semester. Because this classification is designed for students taking courses purely for their edification, academic advisers are not assigned. Non-degree students are encouraged to obtain the Student Handbook of Rights and Responsibilities.
