When Coming to Boone from Highway 421 Northbound: Proceed into Boone on HWY 421 North. At the intersection of HWY 421 and HWY 321 South/Hardin Street, turn left to approach the campus area. At the second stoplight, turn right onto Rivers Street (Subway/ Klondike will be on the left) and proceed to the first street on the left (Hill Street). Upon turning onto Hill Street, visitor parking for Admissions will be the first small-gated lot on the right adjacent to the John Thomas Building. The access code for the gate will be provided in your campus visit confirmation and reminder emails. 

The Admissions Office is located on the first floor of the John Thomas Building, main entrance. Additional visitor parking is available at the Rivers Street Parking Deck.

At the eighth stoplight (intersection of Rivers Street and HWY 321-- Subway/ Klondike will be on the right), turn left onto Rivers Street and proceed to the first street on the left (Hill Street). Upon turning onto Hill Street, visitor parking for Admissions will be the first small-gated lot on the right adjacent to the John Thomas Building. Boone is located approximately two hours from the major international airports in Charlotte, NC (Charlotte-Douglas International Airport) and in Greensboro/High Point, NC (Piedmont Triad International Airport), and regional airport in Johnson City, TN (Tri-Cities Regional Airport.) Although the University is unable to provide transportation to and from the major airports which serve the region, there is a “ride share board” in the Plemmons Student Union to assist currently enrolled students in making transportation arrangements.
